Business Line Manager, Automation
Senior automation electrical engineer from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, with a wide range of international experience working in South America, North America and Europe in the mining and oil & gas industries. With university studies in Innovation, Internet of Things, Industry 4.0. He has been developing projects with customers like Ras Gas in Qatar, Chevron and NASA in the United States, VALE and Petrobras in Brazil, Holcim in Switzerland, and Lafarge in Canada.
His main motivation to promote mining automation is the strong believe that this technology not only will increase those so important elements such safety, efficiency and productivity, but also will help countries to improve their own skills and competences for the people in the long term, contributing also to the environment.
Currently his main task is to deliver Sandvik’s state of the art automation technology for underground and surface mining in the local market for Andean South cone involving Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Perú, by offering the whole automation portfolio which is based on MySandvik for data collecting and equipment connectivity, OptiMine with Remote Monitoring, Scheduler, Task Manager, Drill plan visualizer, 3D Mine visualizer, Location Tracking and Analytics, and AutoMine with Tele-Remote, Lite, Multi-Lite and Fleet.
Now he is developing important projects for one of the biggest cooper producers in Chile to the world.
